What can couples do to keep the marriage passionate?
Earlier in an article Fun Activities for Couples - How to keep the spark alive in your marriage, I may have been a little bit more inclined to suggest that in a case like this a woman take initiative in bringing passion back into the relationship. Maybe that is not always be the situation.A reader of mine writes, "I think the author of this article needs to be less stereotypical. I have been married for 6 years and it is my husband who wonders why the romance left and it is he who has a job that doesn't take as much time as mine and he that takes on the role of "a bored housewife" - not me, the wife. This is the 21st century and there are examples of role reversal and different models of relationships everywhere - embrace them - don't turn those of us who are non-traditional off in your opening paragraph."
I totally agree. We already live in an era of stay-at-home dads and women who earn more than their husbands. I think I must conclude by saying that a relationship is based on equal partnership and if the passion is gone both have to the hard work.
