| A
vacation
in a romantic city is a
time not only to relax but also to
bond with the person you care about.
While electronic communication has
made it almost impossible to totally
disconnect ourselves from work, I
often advise people to
take vacations
to places/resorts where you can always
find an excuse that you have poor
connection for cell phone, Internet,
etc. And one of such places is
Barbados.
Barbados is a very popular vacation
destination and has all the great
amenities that we are all so used to
but the cell phone signals are not the
strongest on many beaches. Plus,
high-speed Internet connections are
not so common. So the secret here is
to send a quick note to your boss by
email telling her/him that you are
working in an Internet cafe on a very
slow connection, and while you would
try to do your best to access your
emails every day, it may not always be
possible.
After that enjoy your vacation with
that special someone! (Related:
St Tropez)
Why go to Barbados?
For the beaches, of course. But you
can also add great food (dishes cooked
from Bajun Flying Fish are delicious)
and friendly people.
Barbados is a
coral island and is known for its find
sandy beaches. Naturally, you can also
enjoy
scuba diving, snorkeling, and other
water sports. Of course, you can lie
on the beach all day and just do
nothing - unless you count eating,
drinking, hugging and kissing as doing
something. This schedule may
vary somewhat for those couples who
choose a
Barbados as a wedding destination.
Apart from
getting tanned on the
beach, you can also visit the swamps
in the Chancery Lane, Inch Marlow and
Graham Hall areas. While looking any
other tourist area, Barbados has some
tourist attractions, but we would
recommend them only if you are bored
with the beach (highly unlikely).
However, if going under the water does
not scare you then we recommend an
undersea expedition in a submarine.
Barbados is
also very well connected by
flights from North America and Europe
and has plenty of choices for hotels
and resorts for tourists with all
budgets. |
