Vacation
in Namibia
An ideal destination for couples
seeking total isolation
|
|
The
country of Namibia is so thinly
populated and remote that not many
people knew that it even existed till
Brangelina arrived there. Now, not
only many more people know it, they
also travel there for vacations,
particularly on their honeymoons. In
case you are curious,
Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie rented the whole
Burning Shore luxury resort (7 luxury
Rooms and 5 luxury Suites).
If
you want to enjoy a truly tranquil
vacation, you can stay at the same
resort, which by American standards is
not that expensive. It is located on
the edge of the largest sand dunes in
the world, overlooking the Atlantic
Ocean in between Swakopmund and Walvis
Airport. |

Why vacation in
Namibia?
Bill
Gates and his wife went on their
honeymoon there. And so did
Rachael Ray. Apart from safaris,
of course, you can also enjoy the
beach right outside the resort. Plus,
the location is perfect for
windsurfing, horse riding,
fishing/fly-fishing, white water
rafting, paragliding, skydiving, and
if you are in mood for something less
taxing, you can go hiking or bird
watching. And if you like to shoot,
hunting is an option, though not
recommended during a honeymoon.
For
those of you who want to enjoy golf,
Rossmund golf course at the edge of
the Namib Desert is only ten miles
away.
How to get to Namibia?
A
little bit tricky for Americans, but
like most trips to Africa, you will
need to change planes in
Frankfurt to arrive in Windhoek.
There are also connecting flights from
South Africa. Domestic flights connect
most major towns in Namibia. |
