As we try to find
exotic vacation destinations for
couples, our list this time includes
Panama. No we are not talking
Panama
City, Florida (which by the way is
itself a great destination), but the
country of Panama in
Central America.
Panama has world-famous canal,
untouched, well-protected rainforests,
clouded forests, world-class hotels
and resorts, and above all, wonderful
people. No wonder the reality
television program
Survivor has been shot three times in
Panama. |
Why Panama?
Panama is
literally a bilingual nation (English
and Spanish). In many ways the way of
life is very comparable to that of the
US including
the use of the American dollar as the currency.
And yes, while you do arrive in a very
exotic location, it does not mean that
you have to stop enjoying all the
comforts of American life. And Panama
is just a few hours away from most
parts of the United States (and even fewer hours
from the south) and
airfares to Panama
are relatively inexpensive.
Panama is not an eco-amusement park
(think artificially created flora and
fauna like in the
Disney Animal
Kingdom) – it’s the real deal.
Panama is for the true adventure
lover.
In Panama City, you can visit the
Panama Canal and its museums, enjoy
world-class food at a fraction of the
price that you pay here, take day
trips to the countryside and to Gamboa
eco-resort in the middle of the
protected Panama Canal watershed.

In the Caribbean part of Panama, you
can visit beach resorts in the same
areas where the real pirates of the
Caribbean Sea used to hang around. It
has forts, historical places, and of
course, true natural beauty. And in
case you miss shopping, there is a
duty free shopping mall with all the
name brands. (Related vacation

In
conclusion, on a trip to Panama you
can have it all - history, adventure,
comfort, nature, good food, nightlife,
and shopping.
Panama is a very welcoming country for
most nationals. American citizens do
not even need a visa and do not need to
exchange currency or
learn any foreign
language. |
