When
Brad Pitt
and Jennifer Aniston divorced, we all looked at the marriage of
best friend
Courtney Cox and
David Arquette and wondered what a
lovely couple they were. They were also very kind to
Jen and
often
hung out with her to make it easier for her to
fight
loneliness as she went through a series of
dead end
relationships with John Mayer and
Vince Vaughan.
Looks like
all was
not well with their marriage too and as experts have
pointed out that it is
dangerous for married couples to hang out
with divorced friends, despite
therapy and efforts to
save their
marriage, it ended. While it is hard to figure out what role
Jasmine Waltz, a
waitress (half of them call themselves
aspiring
actresses) played in the
collapse of the marriage, but it turns
out that they were an
incompatible couple from the start. David
is a
regular American guy with personality attributes of a
working class dude while Courtney is a more
sophisticated,
cultured woman. That was so evident when instead of spending
time reflecting his horrible acts, he went on the
Howard Stern
show on
Sirius to spill the
secrets that are sacred to any marriage. Of course,
the
couple had a sexless marriage for months, but there is no
reason to share that with the rest of the world.
The takeaway
from this is that if you are not close to
100% sure
about a partner then do not
compromise and get married. It is better to
be single than be
miserable in a marriage or end up getting a
divorce like
Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman. While nice to
have,
marriage is not the end all in life.
