It
does happen. And also means that
we have to make the best of the
situation rather than complain.
So we need to figure out how we can
relax. And one way to do is to
visit a
day spa or a
destination spa,
whatever is affordable. In
addition to that, or as an
alternative, you can also have a day
of spa treatments at home.

Remember those pajama parties when we were kids? They were so much fun? Now things are more sophisticated and the
days of beauty are called
spa parties. What do you think about having a spa party for you and your loved, one or if you have kids, for the whole family?
It may sound difficult or expensive, but it is not. Here are some ideas for a spa party:
-
Plan ahead. Gather all you need a few days before and have everything ready. The objective is to have fun so anything goes.
-
Start your spa day with a cup of warm water with lemon or grated ginger.
-
Have a short fitness activity. A walk, run, bicycle ride, etc.
-
Have a healthy but delicious breakfast, presented in pretty dishes. Avoid caffeine, but use milk, fruits, omelets and veggies with whole wheat bread.
-
Follow a short beauty
treatment. Use a special soap or
aromatherapy gel for the bath or shower and use a body
exfoliant.
-
Get together for a special meditation time. Just close your eyes and relax. You can play some
spa music in the background.
-
Do a facial,
massage,
pedicure or
manicure to each other. Listen to music you all love; it doesn’t have to be spa music, but not a bad idea to continue with
relaxation music during the course of the spa party.
-
Read a poem together and enjoy some snacks or
herbal tea.
-
Do a creative project together. For example, a painting, scrapbook, etc. Anything you may have been thinking about for a long time and is appropriate for a couple (if you are doing it as a couple) or appropriate for the whole family (if you are doing the spa party as a family).
-
Declare your beauty day over or do more treatments, if everyone is enjoying it.
