How to get
started?
-
First of all,
find the resort that you want to
go to. There are many
choices: Hawaii,
Bermuda, Bahamas,
Caribbean,
St. Barths, Grand Cayman Islands,
Utila, Indonesia,
Virgin Islands, etc. So check out
all the options before making your
selection. Since I am asking
you to research only those resorts
that have scuba diving, you must
still make sure that they have
instructors (at affordable rates)
and you can rent whatever gear you
will need.
-
When you book
your scuba diving vacation, also
find out if you need to book
lessons ahead of time or you can
do after you check in.
-
A mask, wetsuit, and fins are worth owning because a proper fit makes all the difference.
Depending on where you live, if
you can buy it before leaving, you
will not need to buy them in a
resort town with inflated
prices. Many online shopping
websites sell them if you can not
buy them in your town.
How to enjoy a
scuba diving vacation?
-
Set your fears
aside and go with your
partner. If you are doing it
for the first time, it is good to
have your partner with you.
-
Don't be too
adventurous. You will learn
little by little and it is best to
take small steps. That way
you will enjoy it more.
-
Check out other
water sports while you are
there. A scuba diving
vacation need not be limited to
it; explore the area, try new
dishes, and of course, make some
new friends.
