What to do when nothing works?

John from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, writes, “I am a good-looking executive who just does not seem to have much luck with women. I have tried to approach women for dating, but while they are all very polite, nothing ever happens afterwards. They don’t return my calls or if they go out with me once, they don’t want to go again. Open your mind

It appears that you have not exploited your charms and personality in a positive manner. That is not surprising since many men appreciate only the finest things in life and can be sometimes very critical in their assessment. For instance, they may value intellect a lot and if a woman does not come across as intellectual in the beginning, they will simply abandon her. You might also be somewhat self-centered at times and that is an impediment to developing romantic relationships that are about getting out of your inner self and completing dedicating yourself to the other person – an expectation that the women have from men. Be patient

You also need to be patient. For instance, do not get too hung up on intellect. Many women may also not appear to have a sense of humor right away, for example. There are very few people that can be so funny that they will make everyone laugh with their jokes and stories. Most people have a sense of humor if they get a chance to show it. So give these women a chance to be themselves.

Try other options for dating

It seems that you are limiting yourself to meeting people in person. You must absolutely do this, but here are a few other options:

Online dating: It is perfectly acceptable now to post your profile and approach the type of women that you like. And if you are open-minded and patient you will be able to meet the girl of your dreams. (Related link: How to exploit online dating)
Friends and family: Tell a few folks what you have in mind. They can always hook you up with the right girl.
Volunteer programs: Join a few programs where you can meet more people like you and you also enjoy doing whatever the activities of the volunteer program are. These are great places to meet new people.
