Relationships are one of the very interesting aspects of our lives and they play a very vital role in our lives. How we handle them and deal with them has serious implications on both our present and future lives. There are certain situations that occur in our lives for a purpose. Some are to strengthen us and others are to test us. Just like in school, we attend lessons, and in order to test our understanding, we sit for our examinations.

The situation where a former lover wants to come back into your life is one very common and unfortunately most women fall prey to this trap especially in a situation where you find a woman taking back a man who abused her both physically and verbally. In some cases it is straightforward as we may fall back in love with the person we dated in high school, former husband or simply someone you dated before and things did not work out then. This is so because of the powerful forces of feelings and emotions - what I call mysteries that we may try to define but sometimes find hard to understand and explain. We all wait patiently hoping, dreaming and believing that our loved ones will change and one day come back to us. It is the reality of this dream coming true that makes us embrace our former love. It is such a beautiful thing to see a person change from what they used to be and to become a much better person. It is like seeing a lost and rebellious child come back home and saying to her parents that she wants to come back home.

Rebuilding and getting over lost love is not an easy task especially for a woman. It takes a while to heal and believe in yourself again. Sheryl Crow talked about her love for Lance Armstrong months after they broke up. Being in love is a wonderful feeling and if you can get a second chance at it with the same person then grab the opportunity, do your best and with care aim to make it last.
