Friendship among the sexes at an early stage builds confidence

I think from the onset, especially at an early stage, boys and girls should be encouraged to mix, of course, with the guidance of an adult. We all know that it is not happening since many cultures simply do not allow it. If it is acceptable, it should be impressed upon them that whether you are male or female you, are both humans created differently but uniquely and worthy of respect from each other.

It will also help break barriers like lack of self-esteem and shyness as they are assured that there is nothing to fear and someone can love them just the way they are and eventually women will understand men and vice versa. Allow such good principles to be hewn in their little hearts so that when they are older they will learn to look beyond what they see on the outside and start to look at a woman not as an object of man’s pleasure but as an individual who can make a contribution to the world and for the lady not to look at a man as a source of life but as an individual who also has a mission to accomplish on the planet. At the end of the day, we will have more confident adults walking on this planet.

While some argue that mixing of boys and girls is responsible for teenage pregnancy and even higher divorces later on in life, I think that is not the case. In my opinion, when men and women learn to respect each other from an early age, they become better human beings and have stronger relationships.

How women should behave with men around them?

In school you can find it easier to study with someone of the opposite sex and share ideas and do projects together. It makes life easy too because there are no strings attached and you don’t have an obligation to do certain things. You work with a clear conscience and you don’t have to worry so much when you stay up late to complete a project because you stay focused on that important subject until it is complete without any problems. Women that have had to work among men in male dominated environments also tend to excel so much better as each day is a challenge to prove to their male peers that they can perform better too. In such environments there is neither male nor female as these differences just tend to become invisible or non existent and you find them mixing quite well. Again, the attention is targeted towards the goal that they all want to achieve. They sit, eat, laugh and play games together like friends or brothers and sisters and I think this is awesome. In other circumstances, you find that those who are born in a family of boys or girls tend to find making friendship with the opposite sex easier than their own sex because that barrier does not exist in their lives.
