Teaching men to love women

Krista in Connecticut writes, "My boyfriend always heads straight for my private parts. How can I tell him I don't really like that. He simply pays no attention to any other body parts, even though I think I am good looking woman."

You have not indicated your age but we are assuming that your boyfriend is young. This is a common mistake that young men make. Please remember that men are more visual creatures while women tend to be more into feelings. Men also do a terrible job with romantic conversation prior to getting intimate.

Unless he gets it on his own, you might want to take charge of the situation yourself. Here are some tips:

  1. Don't let him come close to you physically first. Tease him first, particularly his eyes. That way he won't touch you for as long as you like.
  2. Make your privates less difficult to reach. So for example, if you are wearing jeans, as opposed to a skirt, you have more control because you can simply tell him "not yet." Similarly you can switch to tops that are difficult to come off as opposed to tank tops.
  3. Finally, sit down with him and tell him your thoughts. Educate him about what you like and what you don't. The worst time to do this is in the bedroom. So it is something that you can tell him after you have already been intimate, and he is in a good mood, or you are just hanging out.
