Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst end engagement

Photo of Andy Baldwin and Tessa HorstIf you watch The Bachelor, there is so much drama that you start to imagine that their relationship will last forever. The fights, the competition, the romance, the emotions are incredible.

The reality, it turns out, is somewhat different. Like most of us, they too face the same challenges in relationships. Remember how Travis Stork and Sarah Stone broke up? Well, another Bachelor couple, the very charming officer and a gentleman Lt. Andy Baldwin and social worker Tessa Horst, have broken their engagement.

I think just for the sake of the media they are saying things like "We are very much in love and committed to our relationship." I don't buy this crap. If you are so much in love and committed to the relationship, why can't Tessa move to Hawaii? And I am glad that they broke up, because if a partner cannot relocate, the marriage wouldn't have lasted too long. Marriages require far too many and bigger sacrifices; this was something really small.

Let us also see how things work out for Brad Womack.

Kate Hudson, Owen Wilson split

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson divorced after what what supposed to be a great relationship (she moved in with him after dating him for just three days). Nobody knows if adultery was involved, but it seems that her relationship with Owen Wilson (they acted together in "You, Me and Dupree") may have had something to do with the divorce.

Within no time, the couple was in love and was everywhere. We now find out that they have split. As is often the case, no one knows what happened. Boy, these Hollywood relationships are brief.

Prince William, Kate Middleton breakup

Dating a prince ain't easy. Just look at what happened to Japanese Princess Masako, who abandoned her career as a diplomat, and has been depressed since her marriage to Crown Prince Naruhito. There are some reports that Empress Michiko was never very happy in her marriage either to Emperor Akihito. And we also know what happened to Princess Diana.

So was the Queen right in intervening in the relationship of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton? Time will tell but it seems that William himself was not very happy with the relationship. Plus, it had turned into a long distance relationship.

But what about the rumors about engagement and wedding? They were all in the imagination of British tabloids.

In any case, it is always sad to go through a breakup and probably even sadder when you can no longer dream of being the Queen of England.

Justin Timberlake Cameron Diaz breakup

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not married but have a strong relationship. So do Oprah and her boyfriend Stedman Graham and many other couples who often choose to live together without marriage. Many women even choose to become mothers without marriage. Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz also belonged to that group and there were rumors of having a child together.

In a shock to their fans, the couple ended their relationship after four years of what seemed like a perfect relationship.

What went wrong?

Since they were only dating, there are no divorce papers to look at but speculation is that there was another woman involved: Scarlett Johansson who believes in open relationships. She has recently ended her relationship with Josh Hartnett and was acting in a music video by Timberlake.

How has the couple behaved after their breakup?

Not too good. The best way to handle a breakup is to move on and be civil. On the contrary, when Justin Timberlake met Jessica Biel at a Golden Globe party organized by Prince at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, Cameron Diaz made a big scene. The couple was seen arguing in a side room. The message here is simple: once you breakup, the best thing is to be cool about it no matter what your ex does.
