It seems like the television reality program The Bachelor has a curse. While couples seem to find everlasting love. The couple was already having challenges due to the long distance relationship (he is in Hawaii and she is in San Francisco). Plus, relationships with military men is not easy. Looks like after treating Jessica Simpson like nobody, John Mayer has moved on to another Hollywood star: Cameron Diaz. While she has previously said that she is not interested in a traditional marriage, she had a so-called rock solid relationship with Justin Timberlake but that didn't last. In one of the classic cases of an older woman dating a younger man, Cameron Diaz who is 35 has been dating John Mayer who is just 29. They have been publicly seen at the Bowery Hotel and Indochine in New York.

I think a couple looks awkward when one partner looks like the parent of the other even though I am convinced that age gap does not matter and couples should be able to date without getting bogged down with numbers. It is on this ground that I have supported all older men, younger women relationships including that of Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky. In this photo, though, taken at the premiere of "Becoming Jane," Howard does look old and his sweetheart looks so much younger. The couple was seen arguing in a side room. The message here is simple: once you breakup, the best thing is to be cool about it no matter what your ex does.

I can understand why Hollywood celebrities would need to hide their relationships. First, we heard that Jessica Simpson and John Mayer were dating each other. Then we heard that they actually never dated in the first place, and therefore, they could not breakup. And oh, by the way, Jessica Simpson is still having a hard time forgetting the love of his life Nick Lachey and she also wants to be a virgin again for her next man.

Now it is hard to say if they are actually dating (because they pretend they are not) but they were clearly together as a romantic couple on New Year Eve at Hudson Hotel in New York and continued to party at Club Stereo at another party organized by Christina Aguilera.

It is also being reported that Jessica Simpson had an offer to host the bash at Pure in Las Vegas and get paid for it but she refused to do that; instead, choosing to spend time with John Mayer. And as well all know, the Pure offer was accepted by Britney Spears who apparently made a fool of herself by passing out after drinking too much (at least she was wearing her underwear).

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are excellent examples of older woman younger man relationship. That makes Demi Moore a leader of the cougars, as these women are called. But a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she was as surprised as all of us with the relationship. "If somebody would have said, 'OK, here is the prediction: You're going to meet a man 25 years old and he's going to see being with you and having your three kids as a bonus,' I would have said, 'Keep dreaming," she says.

The couple have a great relationship and also get along well with ex-husband Bruce Willis, who like Uma Thurman has been an excellent ex.

What surprised me most about the interview was that the couple wants to have children. Getting pregnant at 44 is nearly impossible without fertility treatment, but it might make sense considering that Kutcher is just 28 and has no children of his own, though he has been a good father for her three daughters.
