When I reported that Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker were back together, I did not know how long it was going to last. They have done this so many times that I thought they will breakup again. It is still too early to say how things will turn out but like a good couple, they are trying to make it work. They were all lovey-dovey at the MTV VMA in Las Vegas, kissing in front of the paparazzis so that their photos could be everywhere.

Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker, who were supposedly in this fairytale romance at one time, had an ugly breakup. She is reportedly to have celebrated end of her marriage by cutting a cake with her husband's image on it. During the interim period she also dated Jay Grdina (who was divorced by Jenna Jameson).

While I generally support the idea that couples do not divorce and if they do, try to reconcile for the sake of children (they have two kids: Landon and Alabama). Bizarre that it sounds, this couple is now back together.

"I think [it was] love, keeping our family together and believing in ourselves...We're just trying to move forward with a clean slate," Barker told PEOPLE magazine. "We're pulling out of the separation. We're still married," Shanna Moakler said.

Well, I think they are a role model for reconciling but not for breaking up.

Scarlett Johansson likes open relationships. So do Hal Sparks and Samantha Humphrey. Geri Halliwell has lost hopes that she would ever find love again. While Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky are now engaged, they claimed all along that marriage was not for them. Number of single moms is at an all time high.

What is going on? Is it a surprise then that Halle Berry refuses to marry Gabriel Aubry or any other man. "I will never, never get married again," she says in InStyle. I don't blame her though. While the divorce rate in the US is 50%, Halle Berry has already done it twice: from Atlanta Braves player David Justice and R&B singer Eric Benét.

The only hope are couples like Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker, who seem to have reunited, after her brief romance with Jay Grdina did not work.
